How To Study For JEE Mains and Advanced When you are Sick

Today I am feeling under the weather this may be due to physical exhaustion. But no need to worry I have plenty of time to rest and unlike you I do not have any vital exam in coming days.  
If I go back 14 years, the situation was not the same because I was taking my IIT JEE Prelims and I had a terrible cough and runny nose. Despite my sickness, I qualified Prelims and went on to train the final stage also.

A lot of students went through some kind of hardship during their JEE Mains and IIT JEE Advanced exam be it financial, psychological or physical and hey just do not appear in it but also qualify.

Avoid samosas and sweet drinks and foods that can drain your energy. Fresh fruits and vegetables, which are rich in health-giving vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, must be part of your regular diet especially when your sick.
If your doctor allows, eat fiber-rich carbs, like Dalia and banana. They’re not only a significant part of a healthy diet, but they’re also moreover vital to keeping your attention sharp since your mind uses up glucose when you are studying.
Also drink lots of fluids, mainly water.Doing so will benefit you stay hydrated, strengthening your immune system and substituting any fluids lost through coughing or runny noses.

Get enough rest 

Some students are attracted to stay up all night when they’re studying for an exam because they ignore the fact that they can get sick and also they are not getting any closer to their expected rank in IIT JEE. When you are really sick studying makes you frustrated and increase your anxiety about exams. Adopting an optimistic attitude and avoiding negative thoughts will help you go on through the review.

Study environment is essential for a self-study 

A most effective study is done in an environment with zero interruptions; this is even more important when you’re sick. Take some time to prepare an ideal space that’s encouraging to studying and has all you need at your arm’s reach.
Curtail your distractions. Find a place with no one else. Turn off your mobile phone, laptop, electronic devices that you don’t need.
Make sure that you’re relaxed. Evade studying in bed since because it will make you sleepy, but do choose a seating plan that will be calming for the length of your study session. You don’t want back pain to add to your other bodily afflictions when you’re sick.
The study in a bright room. Whether you are healthy or sick, dark spaces can cause headaches and poor eyesight. If you are sick, you should avoid worsening these symptoms or risk falling asleep.
Keep useful things by yourself for your sickness. For example, be sure to have tissues and a dustbin for used tissues. The list goes on like cough syrup, medication, water, and snacks with you so that you don’t have to disturb your study.

Include writing into your revision

You have to sleep a lot when you are sick. Therefore you have to use a very effective way to revise to get the best rank in JEE Mains or Advanced. If you rewrite important concepts, formulas and difficult question in your revision copy, then you are more likely to get your preferred branch in your favorite college than merely reading them or saying them out loud.
A large number of students find it difficult to memorize formulae in coordinate geometry. I will suggest they write these formulae and along with every formulae solve a related question which is rather difficult for you.

Practice active methods of studying

There are several methods which are more engaging and practical for revision or studying when you are sick during your JEE preparation.
Using flash cards is one of them. Students preparing for CAT often use visiting card sized blank cards to write essential concepts and questions on them. You can also make such a flash card and keep them in your pocket and revise anytime you want.
Another method is solving mock test papers.
Besides more carefully understanding the format of JEE Main and Advanced syllabus, these effective method of studying help you to remember, create, and apply info instead of just reading or repeating it. 

Inspire more than one sense to strengthen essential facts

 We all learn in various way and like different senses (reading, seeing and listening) in our studying.
Try to use as many senses as you can in your study procedure and methods to increase your understanding and recall of info.
For instance, revise your classwork copy, rewrite your class notes in revision or rough copy and then ask quiz yourself out loud based on your notes.
