IIT JEE preparation tips for Organic Chemistry

IIT JEE preparation tips for Organic Chemistry
I have written this post for one of the most important topics of IIT JEE. Can you guess? Answer may differ from person to person. But I am talking about Organic Chemistry. Let’s star with today’s IIT JEE preparation tips.
To get to the point, organic chemistry does not involve much learning and relies primarily on understanding the concepts. If you attend all the classes, pay attention and do your homework carefully then most of the question will be very easy to solve. Only a small number of questions will be hard. I’ll tell you the curriculum by chapters and JEE advanced preparation. I have done some research on good books for Organic Chemistry. I will provide the list of the same in the last of the article. You can buy the books using the same link.
Make good notes in the classroom. It’s very important. Chemistry is better taught by a teacher. Do not forget all kinds of effects, exceptions, orders, etc. Making short notes would help you a lot during your exam.
So the main areas you will study are:

Basics Of Organic Chemistry

It is an excellent chapter in itself. It covers topics such as nomenclature, organic compounds, electronic effects, acid and bases, isomerism (stereo and structural), basic concepts of organic reaction mechanisms, practical organic chemistry. These are very important chapters. If you are weak in these chapters practice a lot. You can also consult your teachers and refer from the books I have recommended in the last of the article as IIT JEE preparation tips. They taught us these concepts when and how they were needed. You have to follow the approach you are taught. If you have the right training, focus on your lessons and confidence. If not, there are many books that can help you, read further.

Reaction Mechanism

This part is the foundation of entire Organic Reactions. Almost every question in organic Chemistry involves some kind of reaction mechanism. These questions can be from hydrocarbons (Alkane, Alkene and Alkyne), aromatic compound, alcohols, phenols and ethers, acid reactions, Grignard reagent, oxidation & reduction, etc. There are so many topics related to reaction mechanism. Reactions in this section will be form different variety. But panicking will not help at all. They are taught in a very organized way in coaching classes and recommended books. Follow your path and be regular.
Memorizing the reactions is utmost important. Do it from the day one. Keep the reaction + mechanism + some good questions in short notes. Revise yours register and short notes as much as possible. This continuous revision will make you master in organic chemistry. Remember this IIT JEE preparation tips.
You understand the mechanisms well. A lot of questions are set in JEE (Advanced) depending on the mechanism. They would slightly change the reaction and ask the product. You can only solve it if you understand the mechanism.
It is, therefore, crucial to keep all reactions, reagents, and exceptions in their suggestions and understand the mechanisms well. For permanent memory write the complete reaction mechanism with corresponding question as many times as possible. Solve as many problems as you can because it will help you to remember the reaction mechanism.  In addition, it is important to know the basics of organic chemistry; otherwise, you will not be able to move forward. So first strengthen it. Individuals studying alone can take a good book (continue to read) and start from there. Try to solve questions from a very good source. There are tonnes of youtube channel for Organic Chemistry. You can watch them for better understanding.

Bio-molecule And Other Parts

It’s relatively easy. This is important IIT JEE preparation tips because in the chapter “Chemistry in everyday life” at least 1 to 2 questions are asked. Attack only this NCERT chapter. This is all. It covers panels, JEE (Main) and JEE (Advanced) at the same time.
Bi-molecule: This is an interesting chapter, and JEE has posed very difficult questions in this chapter. Remember, if you can, all the structures of amino acids because JEE 2014 raises the question about it. You will study many kind of concepts and structures in carbohydrates and proteins.

There are many good books on the market. But it is very confusing to pick a useful book. I would say that it is good to follow one of these books, but some have a greater advantage than others. If you train well, then nothing can be better than that, because they have a lot of questions, so I recommend that, if possible, you seek to solve the learning materials with the solution.
However, Some Of The Books I Recommend Are

That is it I told you almost everything about Organic chemistry. Write every important concept and reaction in your short notes. It is one of the best IIT JEE preparation tips. Use it for review. It helps a lot in the final review. Keep feedback on your advice and read the notes several times to remember them.
I hope you enjoyed it. Feel free to comment on any doubt.
All the best!!!
